Trek 20: Atillo and Osogoche Lakes

Dora Paña at Los Saskines in Atillo offers accommodations and meals, phone (09)137-9095. In Totoras there are community-run cabins just above the village, along the road to Osogoche, phone (03)293-0635. Meals may be available in the village if requested in advance.

Buses to Atillo from Juan de Velasco corner Olmedo, in Riobamba, daily at 0545, 1200, 1520 and 1820, $2, 2½ hrs. Note that the Riobamba-Atillo road now continues to Macas in Oriente. Service to Macas goes through Atillo, departing from from the Terminal Oriental in Riobamba at 0230, 0545, 1000, 1300, 1600 and 1700. From Totoras, buses to Riobamba at 0500 and 0800, on Thu they go to Guamote from where you can transfer.
