All phone numbers in Ecuador have been changed to seven digits. To convert the six digit phone numbers given in the book, add the digit "2" after the area code, at the beginning of the local number. For example, the number of the Julio Verne tour operator in Riobamba was (03)963-436. Their new number is (03)296-3436.
